I bleach my hair every 4 months and would have to color my hair with Pravana every 3-4 weeks to maintain a non faded purple. Extremely pleased with the fire opal.I have darker toned,, thick, long, coarse/thirsty curly hair that has become very “mousy” in color. While I know this dye would be much more vibrant on blonde or bleached hair I’m not willing to damage my hair to get the effect. This product so far is the best purple dye I have tried.I haven't done any washes yet but the initial vibrancy and the way it's really saturated my hair tells me this is a huge win.The only disadvantage, as with any strong colour like this, it stains. Be careful to use it around anything porous. I would recommend only washing it out with a handheld tap or shower head and not let it run down your body ideally.
